Renuka Teas Ceylon traces its origin to one of the founding firms of value-added Ceylon tea, Bois Bros & Co. Established in 1891, and Matale Valley Estates established in 1925. We blend tradition with innovation, crafting teas that honour the age-old techniques while embracing the evolving tastes of the modern world.

Our Historical Journey

1891

Bois Bros & Co. Established

One of the founding firms of value-added Ceylon tea, whose legacy would later become part of Renuka Teas.

1925

Matale Valley Estates Founded

Tracing its origins to Mrs R. Ramasamy, who ventured into the business of planting and managing tea, spices, and coconut in the central region which grew to over 3500 acres .Part of the plantations were Nationalized in 1972.

1980

Renuka Teas Ceylon Incorporated

Commences as a producer and exporter of Ceylon tea bags , packets and bulk.

1989

Renuka Teas Ceylon Earns Organic Certification.

Renuka Teas Ceylon became one of the first organic certified tea companies in Sri Lanka.

2002

RENUTE brand relaunched

The Renute brand was refreshed and relaunched.

2015

Expansion into Superfoods

Renuka Teas Ceylon expands its portfolio to also become a manufacturer & exporter of superfoods.
